trying to do a hard reset on my sony xperia z3 compact

trying  to do  this using the sony pc software, but keep getting an error message.  Message reads as follows:

UEUpdate failed

UE_1404

2.1.12.0/windows7 sp1/win32/US

[Nnestor]

I have exactly the same problem.
I did not find a solution
