It has been 6 months i reverted back to kitkat and rooted and was happy playing and tweaking my phone. But off late phone is acting very bad on battery part. Battery reduces in no time even after all updates/syncs/gps etc everything being off as always.

So though about trying marshmallow but have no idea about its good or bad.

So can you guys comment on marshmallows battery life, camera enhancement fix, overall ui experiences etc??

So accordingly I can make my mind to upgrade.

I updated my Z3 Compact two days ago and I don't notice any difference in battery usage. Everything seems to be working ok with two exceptions:

- some badges on application icons do not seem to work, e.g. WhatsApp icon doesn't show the number of unread messages

- the non-removable white search bar in the application screens is absolutely horrendous.

I'm on Marshmallow. My WhatsApp show badges normally, and my Google search bar can be dragged out of the screen..

EDIT: Seems I misunderstood what bar your talking about. You are right this white bar can't be removed, as it was introduced in Marshmallow by Google and I've seen it on other manufacturers phones.

marshmallow does not have stamina mode and many people are having issues with battery life, apps not working etc.

It's wise to reinstall Marshmallow after the update, it will smooth things out and improve battery life; the update doesn't have STAMINA mode, but it has doze

settings > battery > menu > you will find it there.
