Timeshift Burst Extra Photos

Hi,

I have taken a photo using the camera Timeshift Burst, which works great.. but the problem is when i goto select images for e.g. facebook upload, text, whats app etc... I see all of the photos from that timeshift burst and not just the single one i selected from the timeshift burst.

Is there a way to only keep one of the photos from a timeshift burst and to delete the rest?

The extra photos don't show up in the normal Album app, only when I goto selcting a photo for use elsewhere. Also they show up if i sync them to my computer etc.

Neil

I agree with the above. Great feature with terrible way to save chosen pic. I new share the chosen pic to my dropbox so I can delete the folder completely.

Yes im having the same issue when i want to select a timeburst photo i have to scroll trough all 61 photos i did not want... Even cant find my selected ones anymore because the app i want to put them on only views small thumbnails so it are timeburst photos so they all look a like Expressionless_Face please Sony make an update that fixes this

Also when i go to album in cant find these 61 photos per timeburst but can see the ones i selected separated... So where to delete them you have to manually go and find in your devices storage locations.... This is not very user -friendly

And when i go to googles "foto's " i Can see all the timebursts.....
These apps are all standard installed on the xperia z3

It seems like sony did not test these things to work and display correctly together

Oké ik now found out that in the album app you can reselect the timebursts again this is nice.

Thanks for all the comments above, helpful to know I'm not alone in finding this feature exciting and helpful in the first instance and then deeply frustrating when it comes to keeping the actual one I wanted.

My workaround was to just export to google drive (one of the share options) and then import into iphoto from Google drive. Only a couple of steps. Not ideal but leaves me willing to still use the feature.

YES ALL THESE 5 PAGES ARE CORRECT AND ITS RIDICOLOUS THAT THE GUY WITH THE Z3 STILL HAS THE SAME CRAPPY LACK OF FEATURE (IM ON Z1)

THIS SUPER TIMESHIFT MODE THAT GIVES US THE BEST CHANCE OF THAT AMAZING PHOTO....IS KILLED BY THE AMOUNT OF STORAGE IT CONSUMES AND TIME WASTING WHEN VIEWING AND SEARCHING 30 PHOTOS FOR ONE PHOTO..JUST IMAGINE IF EVERY PHOTO YOU TOOK WAS IN THIS MODE...MULTIPLY YOUR ALBUM BY X30!!!    IT SIMPLY MAKES ME NOT USE THE BEST FEATURE ON THE PHONE!!!!

AND ALL THESE WORKAROUND IDEAS ETC IS JUST NONSENSE WE ARE ALL HERE BECAUSE WE DONT NEED ALL THIS CRAP DELETING MOVING ETC ETC...WE JUST NEED A BUTTON, OR A SETTING TO TURN ON WITH THE CHOICE AFTER EACH SNAP...."DELETE REST?"  'DO IT' or  'NO'

PROBLEM SOLVED,  SORT IT SONY, YOU KNOW WE LOVE YOU FOR EVERYTHING WE LOVE ABOUT YOUR PRODUCTS BUT THESE ANNOYING LEFT PRACTIBILITY ISSUES NEED FIXING... oh and while im here i lost bluetooth volume control to my wireless JBL speaker after one update...VERY ANNOYING .....3 updates later it still never got fixed.... i hate updates!  they make your phone worse not better...ever!!!   i am not downloading any more when i get my next phone i will keep it factory version.

I submitted this issue about a year and a half ago... and FINALLY this seems to have been fixed! And I mean properly fixed!

I've just upgraded my Z1 to Lollipop, im not sure if this feature came with Lollipop or not as I haven't used this function since i owned the phone (because before this fix it was basically un-useable)

Now if you take a timeshift burst photo, to save a sepcific photo out of the burst you need to:

  1. Take a timeshift photo
  2. Choose a photo from the burst as you normally would
  3. Open up the album app
  4. Choose your burst
  5. Click on the option to diaply all of the burst (the two way round arrow in the bottom right corner next to the delete icon)
  6. Here you cna click on the three dots icon
  7. Click save seperatly, and this will save the seperate photo you have highlighted
  8. Also you can choose select photos to choose multiple photos at once
  9. Then you can now go back to your album and see the photo / photos save seperatly outside of the burst and if you want you can delete the burst so it isn't taking up load of space.

Finally Sony! Thank you! Could be a little smoother, e.g. giving the option to save only the selected photo iniitally when choosing the photo out of the busrt stright after it is taken... but atleast this works and doesn't requite going into file commander etc.
