Please can someone give me some advice. I got my Z5 Compact yesterday but it seems there is something wrong with it. If I try to phone somebody they cant hear me on the other side. I can hear them perfectly but they dont hear me...

I'm afraid it seems so, sorry to say. 
If you've purchased the phone just recently you can try contacting your retailer about this and see if they can help you directly. Otherwise, please contact your Local support team as I suggested earlier.

Sorry for jumping in but I too am having the same problem and am at the end of my tether. Tried all the fixes mentioned on the web, disabling OK Google, Repair on PC Companion, Diagnostics check (comes back fine) etc.
It's particularly bad other times than others, the other person can hear me but it sounds very far away, muffled, or generally a bad line. With one particular phonecall just now, tried booting in Safe Mode and calling back to find out it was slightly better but still quite difficult.
Bought my Z5 Compact direct from Sony on release week, presume it'll have to go back?

Sorry to hear that. It seems you have tried all that you can try on your own so yes, you should get your phone examined at an authorised service center as the next step. Might be that you can go to your place of purchase and send it in that way, otherwise you can contact your Local support team for more information on how to proceed.

yes sir, i try reset and disable google now, disable live wallpaper.. but i still have a problem.. my m5 mic doesnt work (talk, video rec, sound rec but can do lound talk)
@yusufpiskin You can also try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. If that does not help either you should contact your Local support team.
Me too. Same problem. Nothing but problems with this.
I've got the same problem too. Everyone I call either says I sound really distant, quiet or a bad line. I've also tried everything, running it im safe mode, diagnostics, ok google....it's really frustrating! I will be speaking to my supplier I think.

Please could you build something into your softwear to prevent these third part apps taking control? As the phone manufacturer I feel and I'm sure the majority of your customers feel that it is your responcibility to ensure that the basic functionallity of the device is in working order no matter what apps we have.
I dont consider any fault to be with an app, i consider the device to be of poor functionallity to allow this happen.
