Spilled coke, bottom speaker not as loud

As the title suggests, I spilled coke all over my phone. The phone screen still works, but I've noticed the bottom speaker is considerably softer than the top speaker. I know the volume imbalance isn't because of the lollipop update bc I've tried the phone repair thingy with the Bridge to Mac app on my computer, and the problem persists.

Is this a hardware problem? I've noticed many others have the similar issue. Only I didn't spill water. Last time I spilled water, the speakers softened a little but as the phone dried the speakers went back to normal.

As coke has other ingredients than water, it might take some more to dry up. Maybe you could wash it nicely with some water,as there is some sugar or other stuff on the speakers.
