Sony Xperia CE0682 suddenly does not charge anymore - how to recover data???

Please Help! I NEED to recover this data!!

My new (less than 7 month-old) Sony Xperia CE0682 suddenly does not charge anymore. Yesterday it had still 1% battery, I used it a little more and it turned off. So far, nothing unusual. But then, when I tried to charge it again, it simply remained dead. I tried different plug-ins and 2 different chargers, but nothing happened. I went to a store and they tried there too, and told me I had to send it for repair. The problem is that, according to them, I'll loose all my data. This is really a catastrophe, not only because of professional contacts and files that I won't be able to recover, but, especially and above all, because of the pictures of my newborn baby, of which I have no copies! I will permanently lose this remembrances of the first moments of his life!  :(((((((((

So pleeeeeeeeeeeease help! What I can do to recover this data, if the phone so suddenly does not turn on for me to transfer the photos, contacts and files?

Thank you for your answer!

Try this

Connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 5 seconds > let your phone charging for 2 or 3 hours

Thank you for your answer, but I have already tried it a couple of times and unfortunately the phone continues dead...

When I press power + button up and keep them pressed, nothing happens, no matter how long.

When I press power + button down and keep them pressed, the red light on the top left corner blinks a couple of times, then turns off when I release the button. Then the phone continues dead.

I also already tried a couple of variations, pressing different button/combinations... but absolutely nothing works. :(((

What else can I do??

Try my suggestion and let the phone charging for 2 or 3 hours, make sure that is a wall charger not the PC, also do you have the Xperia Z or Z Ultra (C6082)?

red flashing light means battery is drained so like ulliwooly said put phone connected to wall charger for 2-3 hours then phone shall wake up automaticly and display battery status before it goes back to sleep then leave phone charging untill light appears green and that battery status shows full battery then it should be working fine again Slightly_smiling_Face

I had the same problem. I took the phone to 2 different places for repair und was told it would cost $300 to repair. And this would not be covered under the warranty (the phone was only 7 month old)

At home I looked a bid closer and realized inside the charger port was the little middle part bended to one side, I straitend it with a very small, flat screwdriver. The phone charged again until few month later, this time I replaced the charging cable und the phone worked perfect again. Because I bought a cheap generic charging cable (Iwas not sure this was the problem) it is now, few month later charging most of the times slow. I am sure when I get an original charging cable, this will not be a problem.

Basically if Sony would change this port, there would  not be such problems. With my next mobile phone I make sure the charger cable is easy to insert and to remove.

I had a Nokia before for 10 years and had never any problems, in fact I use my old Nokia when my Xperia doesn't charge.

Really hope this helps, because I know how frustrating this is.

With a new original sony Xperia charging cable the phone charges perfectly again!

I had exactly the same problem. Suddenly the phone wouldn't react to any charger. I went to have it repaired but I was told it might have gotten fried and fixing may cost more than the phone so I was just forced to change to a different phone. Approximately about a month after, when I was about to dispose the sony xperia phone after a long period of not using it I tried to charge it again and it charged. Lucky me.

My Sony Xperia CE0682 suddenly began to turn on and turn off and heat too much, at the same time. I can't use it in no way.  What is going on? What shall I do?
