I had purchased a Sony Xperia Z3 compact mobile (D5833) in June 2015, Unfortunately your device has not performed well because of the reasons mentioned below,
After 4 months of usage I had to replace the complete mother board of the phone due to some fault that even the people at service center cannot figure out (The mobile phone was switched off suddenly and was not getting powered on after that). After the replacement it was working fine and then now there is problem with the touch screen, the home button and back button is not working.Also I am not able to access the drop down notifications( in potrait mode. It's working find when screen is locked)
When I checked the Sony Support forum I found that many other users are also facing the same problem.When I visited the service center they told that touch screen needs to be replaced (which will cost 10k) ,even though there is no physical damage on screen.Is this really a hardware problem or any issues with software ?
I had been using Sony mobile phones for more than 6 years and I found your products were excellent, but I was really disappointed with the performance of this mobile phone which is in a premium category. I didn't expect this kind of bad phone from Sony after spending 35k.
My friends who had purchased mobiles of Chinese companies like Oneplus, Mi etc ( at the same time when I purchased) are using the mobiles for past 3 years with no issues. These mobiles could not cost even half the price of sony mobiles. Now I feel that people who are purchasing sony mobile are really stupids because it's not at all worth for the amount your are spending.
Now my phone is really a dump piece with Sony label on it and it's unlikely that I would spend another 10,000 bucks to repair this, because I can get a good smartphone for INR 10,000.
