Silent mode on 5.1.1

How do I enable silent mode on 5.1.1 it's not an option on the pull down notification. Or using the volume keys like 5.0.2.
Any ideas?

Ahh, ok. You have to hold down the volumen button Untill it vibrates. THEN you have to press the volumen down button ONE MORE TIME in order to activate complete silent-mode (without vibrator). That seems logical...Not.
It is only geeks like myself and users of this forum that could figure this out.
Fix it, and make an on screen button, so my grandma also could figure this out.

I've got 5.1.1 and my phone loses connection to everything periodically. I then have to re-download sms and Internet settings, in order to use the phone. I've already did a reset factory reset but it still has 5.1.1...

Hi,

After updating to new Android version, I have trouble with the ringtone. At first it was not possible anymore to auto silence it through the night with the smart connect app. And now it is not possible to make the ringtone louder Slightly_frowning_Face even manual... I have no acoustic feedback for any kind of notification. Hopefully somebody has a solution for this. And yes, the loudspeakers are working, I am able to watch YouTube videos Winking_Face

Hi. Please tell me how you switch to silence and vibration mode. Actually I can't find vibration mode, and for sound and silence I use plus and minus buttons.

Hi petercs

You can turn off vibration for calls under Settings > Sound & notification. If you want to turn vibration off for certain apps then you need to go to each app's settings individually & change this.

For example: If you want to turn vibration off when you are receiving SMS notifications, just go into the Messaging application > tap the three dots in the top right hand corner & tap Settings > Untick Notification vibration.

When you push the volume buttons a symbol should appear on the left. You have to tap on it to change between silent, vibration or loud mode
