Silent mode on 5.1.1

How do I enable silent mode on 5.1.1 it's not an option on the pull down notification. Or using the volume keys like 5.0.2.
Any ideas?

Silent = no sound, there is another silent that stops everything.

after updating my z3 compact yesterday I cannot activate silent mode...

touching the volume (rocker control on the side of the phone) just displays the alarm volume settings.

why can't they just bring back the option to activate it from the drop-down options or have a shortcut from the home screen???

You can also hold volume down until it vibrates, release volume down and then quickly press it once again

Eh, you're referring to the Z3+? Lollipop 5.1.1 hasn't been rolled out for the Z3+ yet.
