Hi Support,
The update of my Z5compactBLACK to Android 6.0 was ok but SD card is not readble anymore after it. The same SD card works well on another phone...Sony support, Is this possible after an update? What I can try to do to restore it?
In this update seems that I've lost stamina and SD Card functionality. Not such a big deal I guess ( but it just got worse...)
Left with a bad taste
Cheers

SDCard is a vast and complicated realm: if you read the white papers from the very site you've post in the link you'll get a sense of that. Kernel and drivers must accommodate to a wide degree of speed, voltage and protocols.
I started to buy only very high speed card UHS from Samsung or Sony and they all work very well. Sandisk is quite on the average consumer side than on the picky one.
you are my HERO man
The card I'm using is a Samsung Evo Micro SD XC. Problem is now resolved.
Same problem here with an Z3 compact and Transcend Premium 64GB microSD.
And the backcover broke again although I have a protection case. Guess I'll sell mine and get a Priv, this is so frustrating.
unfortunately, i couldn't complete the procedure to do the software repair because of the boot loader (see below). I tried to re-lock the boot loader but I couldn't get it using the command: fastboot oem lock. Do you have any procedure for that ?
Thanks.
Boot loader unlocked
Xperia Companion cannot update this device since the boot loader has been unlocked. Please go to Developer World
to get more information on how to restore the device to standard Sony software.
