Screen Lock face down

Can anybody help me to change the setting to stop the device locking when placed face down ? I have looked through security and power management and none of the options seem to work.

That is not available on Z1 as far as I am aware.

I had a play around in settings, and it seems to be something within Stamina. There a no separate settings for this in Stamina however, so the only way to stop it is to turn it off

You lost me with this. The option is not available on Z1.

You might have a 3rd party app causing this, try to see if this happens in Safe mode:

Hi Quester, it seemed to be linked to power saving/stamina. I'm not sure why as Alexdon mentioned, the option isn't available on the Z1.

Turning stamina off has solved the problem, so it is not an issue now.

I couldn't recreate this on my Z3, neither Stamina or Ultra Stamina modes causes my screen to lock when mobile faces down.

Did you try to clear cache of Stamina app?

- Turn off Stamina mode from Power management.

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Stamina mode -> Force stop, Clear data and restart your phone.

I have tried this too, it still locks. I have found someone else in my office with a Z1, that is also doing this so it is not isolated to mine.

I'm getting it on my Z3. Never noticed it before but now, I lie on my back, phone above my head, and every 3 seconds; black screen.

Since this thread was the first hit on google when I search for the same issue, I just want to add that for me it was the "Gravity Screen" that I had installed, that although it's amazing, you need to be careful with the options.

The option that I had to turn off (set to zero) was the table sensor angle. It defaults to 15 degrees but setting it to 0 will disable the feature.

Thanks for recommending the safe mode boot that guided me to the right direction ! (I was looking in the phone's settings at the beginning and couldn't find the "turn off screen when phone is facing down" option.)
