Screen draining my battery

Hi there. My battery seems to be running low quite quickly. I checked in settings under battery and it said that my screen is using 59% of battery. I have reduced the brightness and amount of inactive time. What is wrong do you think. My experia is Z5

Max of 20%? if you are NOT going to use the phone then the screen percentage will be lower, there's nothing wrong with your phone.

Who said or where did you read 20%?

Hi Mariab1.

This is a screen grab from when the Z5C first came out last year.

Here is one from a few weeks ago when I was showing another user super heavy usage over 12 hour period. The spike you see is the phone entering low powermode and the battery adjusting the graph for its estimated life left. This was because I was driving. I then continued my torrenting and that's the further drain after.

Here is one from just now, typing this message.

Before we started, my display was at 18%.

I didn't do anything for New Year. So that is why my graph is so flat. If my screen isn't on... I have days and days of battery life.

I feel like taking another screen grab test where my entire graph is a coloured block because the drain is so flat.

BRB... Next week...

BBL I mean. Be back later...  next week.

Here's the continuation of the battery life for my phone... ironically it's 20%... but this is 2 days after, and I haven't really done anything other than just leave it on in the house connected to my WiFi. If it was just in standby mode, it would have less of the decline - my WhatsApp was busy receiving messages. I just didn't need to check them as I have a desktop client - so I was able to leave the phone alone.
