How do I increase the number of rings before phone goes to voice mail?

Hi @DaveC60, welcome to our community!

If you are using in the inbuilt answering machine in your Xperia Z3 Compact you can change how many times the phone will ring before the caller gets automatically transferred to this voice mail by following the instructions below.

1. From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Call > Xperia Answering Machine.
3. Tap Pick up after.
4. Adjust the time by scrolling up and down.
5. Tap Done.

If the caller gets transferred to your service providers (operators) voice mail you will need to contact them and ask them to increase the number of rings before the caller gets transferred to your voice mail.
