Removed USB Mass Storage?

Dear Sony,

Is there a reason you have removed USB Mass Storage from the Z5 and anything running the latest firmware?

Not having MSC makes it very difficult to sync and backup the phone using 3rd party applications.  I wouldn't mind if there was an easy way to do this using the Sony PC Companion.  ie just sync the photos (and some other folders) from the phone to a folder on the connected PC.

Please add this feature back.  The reason many users choose Android over the other option is they like to have a choice and not have all the decisions made for them.

I have always liked Sony phones for the relative Vanilla flavour of Android installed.

ANY Android device 4.0 and higher uses MTP...  It was removed by Google and you need to bring it up with them why it was removed.

I don't like MTP either (Also it's slow...yesterday transfered a 15GB file at 20MB/s to a Samsung Pro+ microSD using this protocol).

But cannot blame Sony on this. It's general Android stuff.

After the latest update, my car cannot find my phones sd card via usb as i cannot switch from mtp to mass storage

I used to be able to plug in the usb cable and it would probably take about 20 seconds and would start playing music from the phone through my car

Why have they removed mass storage mode????

I cannot play music through my car anymore through usb

Sony, I'm alrady read about missing MSC mode in Z5. And I want to ask you: will you bring back this option? And when it will be done?

I swiched phone from Apple to Sony, to have more possibility with it. And now i got situation when i can't connect my phone to car multimedia. How it can be?

Really looking forward to the answer, SONY.

I don't think MSC will br brought back unless there's a very good reason. However, is it not possible to connect via bluetooth instead?

I able to connect via bluetooth, but it's nonsens! Get connected phone in usb port to get charge while it is connected via bluetooth to get music. It seems to be quite stupid.
