recording the screen without the mic on

I wanted to do some gameplay videos using my Sony Xperia Z3. I thought this would be easy with the in built screen recording function, but I am finding that its not recording the sound from the game directly and that because the mic is always on any sounds going on with in the room is getting recorded.

So my question would be ... Is there a way to record the game sound with the mic switched off ?

same problem, i just purchased a great game called cytus... it is a game with beautiful music, however... when recording the sound... it becomes really ugly...  what third party app can you recomend ?

Android 6.0.1

Version 32.2.A.5.11

Looking at a Youtube video.

Long press power to acitivate bulit in screen recorder.

Mic off.

Start recording Youtube video.

Stop recording Youtube video.

Sound missing when I play Youtube video.

Screen recorder does not record direct sound.

I think this worked on 6.0.0.

Bad sound when using mic.
