Hello everybody,
I've updated my Xperia Z2 to Android 6.0.1. Now my ps3 controller won't connect via Bluetooth anymore. If I go to the connectivity settings of my phone it only shows how to connect a PS4 Controller.
Did they seriously remove the Ps3 Controller Bluetooth connectivity in the new Android Version?? If so, I would be more than pissed. I don't want to buy a PS4 controller for 60 Euros...
Could someone enlighten me, if there is still a built in possibility to connect my ps3 controller via Bluetooth to my phone and I'm just to stupid to find it?
If they removed that feature, I won't buy a Sony Product anymore. This is just plain stupid.
Regards,
Matthias

Sadly DUALSHOCK3 support has been removed from all Xperia phones after Marshmalow update. But I think if you connect it and test it in a game, it should work regardless.
its the most backwards thing i have ever heard. rather than encourging me to buy a new controller i won't be buying a sony device again. I have just cancelled my Z5 order and was going to buy a bravia tv but that only supports dualshock 4 too. Also half of my emulators won't work now. This update seems to be a bit of a disaster on xperia's.
Well done sony that is roughly £2500 lost for changing something you didn't have to remove and i won't be buying a PS4 either.
They are losing money in every department at the moment, not a suprise with things like this.
Yeah its typical old Apple way now accepted by all other major players, they are forcing you to pay.. Its todays "upgrade" we will give you 1 new feature and we will remove 2 old and if you pay you will have your old features..
Sorry, but how? I can't even with cable (ps3 - sony xperia z3C - Android 6.01)
