Proximity sensor doesn't work during calls

Hello everyone. I am having a strage issue with my phone. Every time during a phone call the touch screen is still responsive even if the display is turning off. I mention that the proximity sensor is working fine it turns on and off the display. I have the last update from sony. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

@olufsen2 first step i would look at is see if the same occurs whilst running your phone in Safe Mode.....this will tell you if a 3rd party app is causing the issue

@olufsen2

Does your phone has a protective case, film, glass?

Yes it has a glass but I don't see why it will affect it as long as the display turns black.

I also tried safe mode, still doesn't work.

If it's blocking or partially blocking the proximity sensor it will cause problems, remove it > clean the proximity sensor > test the device w/o the glass.

Test it in >>> safe mode > record a video > post it here
