Hi, I had recently shown a family member the waterproof feature on my Z3, which i've had for just under a year, and after drying if off my screen starting going fuzzy, so i restarted it, and to my suprise it did not turn back on. I had attempted to charge the phone and the charging light had not turned on. Now my phone rests in a bag of rice just incase it is water damage.
Before testing the waterproof feature I always assure that both flaps are closed tightly and correctly.

Hey, thanks for the speedy response.
I'm not sure what happened, but it turned on and is working fine now, thanks for the help, have a nice day.
Hi @xconnor90,
Welcome to the community.
When it comes to liquid damage you will need to contact your local support team to do a vacuum pressure test on your handset and see if the waterproofing has failed. Have a chat to them and book in a repair. You can use the link in my signature to find your local support team.
@xconnor90, no problem. Keep an eye on anything out of the ordinary with your device and if you get worried go for the vacuum pressure test.
Will do, cheers!
Hallo Sony
My Sony E4g accidentaly got immersed in water. I have the warranty but i can`t trace the receipt. Can you advice me so that your local dealers here in Nairobi, Kenya will be able to assist me. Thanks.
This is my second sony Xperia, first one I took in the pool and it got water damage, they convinced me the sides weren't properly closed. I had paid for the replacement plan so utilized that even though I knew it was all closed properly, got my new phone, Sim card, cases, protective screen, memory card.... and yesterday went to take an underwater picture... and it stopped working.... I checked all the ports, plus had my case on which won't go on if the sides are not closed properly, now apparently I need a new phone again.... it's getting too expensive. What can I do? For the most part I love the phone, but 2/2 have failed the water resistant test?.. help.
