Orange Glow

I have a Sony Xperia Z5. About half a year after I got it – it suddenly starting to get an orange glow in the left side of the screen in the shape of a line. I got it repaired within the warranty. But now – 6 months later it is starting to get the orange glow again. It starts approx. 3.5 cm from the top of the phone and is about 1 cm long (shape of a line and in the left side of the phone (to the edge)). If it goes as before it would slowly start growing in length and width.

Any idea what is causing it? Is it a general bug in all the phones?

I'm afraid this does sound to be hardware related. I would suggest that you get in contact with your Local support for assistance with having your device sent to an authorized service center to have it repaired.

Interestingly, I just came looking on the forums for this exact same issue.

The orange stain is on the left hand side of the screen, roughly halfway down from the top.

I can't decide if it is getting worse.

Thought I'd use a Google calendar screen to get a nice grid, and it shows up better on white, but not very clearly in a photo, apparently.

You should see it on the 4th September 2017 in the picture. Hope this helps.

The picture was the right way round on my phone, not sure why it's sideways now...

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing the same thing with your screen @beeurd. I recommend that you get in contact with your Local support for assistance with having your phone sent in to an authorized service center for repair.

I just want to show there it is located at my phone - is going to take it to repair.
