Since my Xperia Z3 compact has been updated I no longer have these options
Use Volume Down or Volume Up butoons to access sound options:

- Silent
- Priority (customizable in settings)
- Sound
- Vibrate (press on BELL icon)

@Thommo, @uliwooly, @Quester
what if im playing games/music? it can only prompt for adjusting media volume, not allowing me to put the phone in vibrate or silence directly. Do you agree?

@alexdon
if Lollipop is designed for existing KitKat users to adapt, then I suppose it's a failed upgrade. agree?

@Spaniard
well, I kinda agree with u, regardless which medium, we have freedom to voice out, isn't this is what forums all about?

@ LollipopSucks
as a consumer too, I do feel your pain too, why should we adapt OUR phone that we have SPENT OUR HARD EARN MONEY?

I have a similar issue. I came from Samsung where I was able to set the phone on silent permanently but it wasn't affecting media or alarm clock. In Sony I know how to make it silent, I see the differences between the mods, but even if I set "total silence" with no time restrictions it will still switch to the sound after 1 phone call or text, and on top of that my media are silent. It requires me to change the settings all the time

Is the a way to set the phone on silent permanently so I don't get alarms from texts, phone calls, facebook notofications and so on but have sound in facebook films, other media and the alarm clock?
