Moving pictures results in correupt files

Hi.

First, I can't believe you cannot natively with Sony builtin apps move pictures into different folders ...  Will this feature come in the future?

Anyway, I have now tried two different picture gallery that can do that. I have also moved all my pictures so the SD card.

The problem is that when I move the pictures, they gets corrupted.

Works fine when mounting the sd card on a computer.

Have tried another SD card, same story.

I know Android now has limitations to accessing files on the SD card, but I don't know if this is the reason in this case. In that case an error message would be more logical, not corrupt files.

File Commander will show thumbnails, just click the icon in the bottom right made of 9 small squares.

So all your pictures that are moved to the external SD card get corrupted? I suspect this is a problem with the card.

No, they only gets corrupted when I move them with a picture gallery software (not only one, all of them as it seems like). As I said, I have tried two different SD cards with the same result.

I suggest you to use file commander.

Sorry, not a good idea. File commander won't show thumbnails and it's impossible to identify files by filenames. So if this is just how it is on xperia z2, I'll just move them on my computer.

Folder support on native gallery app should be a feature from day one.

Hi!

Not the best soution in the world, but it works fine!

I guess the producers of picture gallery applications doesn't yet handle the Android SD file access restrictions (or something like that).

I had the same issue and couldn't fix it. It has happened twice and I have lost most of my pictures, and do not know how to get them back. Even in the PC the pictures are corrupted files and cannot be read. Can somebody help me?
