Micro SD card Port Cover

My Xperia is 5 days old now, but I discovered some assebly problem with the SD Card waterproof cap. The frame itself looks ok, but the cover looks like too thick, at least thicker than one for USB/Sim port. I'm little confused if that hits the guarantee, and if the phone will be replaced, or serviced (for 2 weeks at least). Is there any place I can get the cover to replace without having to give the phone away, it's software perfect, and I'm affraid they'll replace it for another one, maybe with software issues or they'll scratch all the back panel. It is waterproof (tested), shall I ignore that? It is just a difference of some 0,3 mm and hits more the comfort than real useability, so I'm more for changing the cap myself than sending to service far away from home.

Call sony customer support when your phone is in warranty. They will replace a new one for you.

Or you can buy the replacement part from witrigs, a online store.

Did you try to press the cover into place as what makes the phone water proof is the rubber tubbing on the inside of the flap that prevents water from sipping into the SIM & USB chambers?

I have the same problem with my Z2 which is barely a month and a half old. Initially, i thought i did something wrong, and am kind of relieved it wasnt me.

Going forward, i think sony should be able to offer some good advice?

I have the same problem and many others. After I've sent it to SBE they said that is not covered by warranty. After another 1 week and after making hundreds of call Sony told me the screen on my device is damaged and I have to pay for am repair. So dont send anything to SBE if you care about your phone.

BTW I 've spoken with Sony Poland and they fixing those issue under warranty as well they fixing sim card cover beacuse is a manufacturing faults. But SBE doesn't.
