Marshmallow 6.0,1 messaging stickers

Hi, just updated to marshmallow 6.0.1 and it appears I don't have any stickers to send in messages, and if I click the + to add some, I'm just returned to my message.
Any ideas please?

Standard one on the desktop, White square box with sideways smiley face.

After the latest major update you will have to re-download the stickers, at least that's what I see with my phone.

If I click on the + I'm just returned to the message.

Open the Sketch app, that's odd that you are not given the option to download the stickers from the messaging app, have you restricted / removed any app permissions ?

Your question is part of the answer. I had disabled the sketch app. Re-enabling it immediately gave me access to the stickers.

This whole messaging stickers, how exactly does it work? Is it like facebook messaging stickers? Do they use up a text or cost money or... Im a little confused... TIA
