Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you go to Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > InCallUI > Clear cache. Go back to the tab "All" and look for the app "Phone" > Clear data. Restart the phone and try again to see if same thing occurs.

Hi aphroditeschild,

Are you by chance using any third party Calling application?

Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

You may need to perform a software repair on the device.

Also make sure to backup the information on the device using PC Companion.

1. Download the PC Companion software from PC Companion and install it on your PC.

2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

3. Phone Software Update.

4. Start.

5. Repair Phone

6. Continue

7. Accept data removal

8. Next

9. Wait for prepare

10. Select Phone

11. Follow the connection steps

I apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely, I start to regret my aquisition. A brand new phone, not very cheap and I have problems from the start. I did everything you say and I know, but the problem remain the same. From what I saw, this KItKat have problems from his launcher. I will try to sell it and to buy another phone, better I hope. Not a "flagship" phone, and, very important, not a SONY.
