Rooting "might" void your warranty. I'm not responsible if anything happen to your phone (nothing should go wrong,, if something do go wrong, just repeat the whole process).

@uliwooly thanks
what are the disadvantages I will get if I update manually?
In settings-developer options it should be.
that's the point'',,,there is no Developer option In Settings in Xperia ZL,but in 2011 series (xperia Neo V)there it is.
in 2012 Xperias there is too.
Check this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/13/reminder-tip-developer-options-are-hidden-in-android-4-2-her...
I am not that informed into rooting, try to reach uliwooly for this.
Hi uliwooly,
Can you please point a out a method i can use to Root xperia Z (C6603) with Locked Boot loader.
I found this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565850
But he has used the preview ( Journalist ) version of the 4.3 firmware release for rooting.
Is there anyway to root final 4.3 release (10.4.B.0.569) ?
Thanks

Hi

if you want to revert/downgrade there are 2 options
1) take your phone to a Sony Service Center
http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/support/contact-us/
or
2)
Xperia Z
Xperia ZL
Xperia SP
Xperia L
I'm desperate to get rid of 4.3 because of the issues with Bluetooth and want to downgrade back to 4.2.2. I don't want to wait weeks sending the phone to Sony's service centre to do that (assuming they even would?)
2) above doesn't seem to have any links or instructions - Is it just the case that I can flash with an earlier version of the firmware as if I was 'updating'? (Can I 'update' to an earlier firmware?)
If so, which 4.2.2 ftf file is best for a UK owner? The posted links are for Belgium, Spain etc - does the country matter? Will the language settings, networks etc be correct?
I'm on EE in the UK.
Thanks
