How can I delete contacts imported from Gmail and Facebook?

So I've just imported a load of contacts from Gmail and Facebook.

Thing is, many are out of date or incomplete so I need to delete them.

But when I try to delete from contacts I'm told 'cannot delete the following contacts'.

My contacts are in a bit of a mess at the moment, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can sync them all to Google then on your computer go to your gmail > contacts > edit them and voila

or

open the messaging app > menu > filter > uncheck fb and google > done

If you have back up of your original contacts i.e. numbers in .vcf file, download 'delete all contacts' from Play store. Delete all contacts. Goto accounts and remove sync option and now restore the contacts from .vcf file.. Slightly_smiling_Face

Open Contacts, click on top righ corner of screen (The triple dot settings icon next to the magnifying glass  - you know? the one nobody notices?)

then you will see the following;

Add Account

Import Contacts

Export Contacts

Mark Several

Filter

Find Link Candidates

Settings

Export the contacts for safety

The you can either mark several, and delete the ones you are not interested in,

Or remove them all;

Then at best, go to  the Accounts/google/then click on your google account (some people use more than one account so choose which one)/ then you can deactivate the following;

Sync App Datea

Sync Calendar

Sync Contacts

Sync Google Fit Data

Sync People details

Remove 'Sync Contacts" from the list by unchecking the checkbox

If i were you i would say at best just remove the account, and dont use a google account at all so you cant be spyed on and add numbers from the exported .vcn file, or manualy and avoid Xperia downloading your 50,0000 contacts from gmail which is indeed a PAIN in the BUTT

But you can delete your contacts
