Email (accounts) no more visible

Hi together,

since last update to version 4.4.4. Build: 14.4.A.0.108 ALL my Email accounts disappered. BUT, the strage effect is, that the fone is still receiving the mails (Sync-Accounts) are still there, but when I open the Mail-App, no account is visible and no mail can be selected.

I tried to start in safe mode without any effect.

I also deleted the database and re-assigned all accounts which ends in a periodically revive of my mails but now, ona day later, the mail disappeared again.

What I can do? Anyone with an soilution?

PS: I have low memory, but this cannot cause the partial delate of mail-Accounts...

Potential solution:

1. disable account sync for every account.

2. clean data-cache

3. restart

4. manually enable sync accout by account.

Hi, 

That sounds quite strange. I suggest that you go to settings > apps > all > email > clear data. Also remove all of you accounts that are related to email under settings > accounts. Restart your device and try to add the email accounts again.

exactly what I have already done. But, the bug ic coming back after few hours... perhaps it's the lack of storage which is causing this behaviour?

by the way. Is there an intention from Sony to provide xperias Z, Z1 and Z2 with App2SD like for Ultra T2?

Well that sound quite odd. Do you have any 3rd party email app installed in your phone? 

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

Hi Alexander. Thanks much für this proposal.
I could fix it restoring an old Backup.
I don't know what cause the problem, so I hope this will not happen anymore.

The problem is back. I suppose, having more then 4 or 5 accounts is causing this problem.
The app is also freezing when I try to ad an new account.
