Charging issue after trying magnetic cable wrongly

The problem caused by a mistake done by the shop girl where i went to buy the magnetic cable. She plug it wrongly and then my phone dead for 15 minutes!

And now my battery fluctuate at 86-90%.. Get too hot if i keep it plugged to charger thereafter...

The main reason i switched to Sony was long battery life... What can i do now?

That doesn't make sense, repair the phone with PCC

Practically impossible to connect magnetic charger in a wrong direction, it won't even fit. Try Uliwooly's suggestion.

That's not a dock.. It was a USB cable magnetic charger. I guess that's from 3rd party..

The phone went dead immidiately in front of my eyes when she plugged it that way.. Then she managed to restart after charging 5 mins by normal charger... Battery level went down to 49% from my initial 53% even with the charger on.

I didn't have this problems earlier!

Some other forum post in this website says they were unable to rectify the issues even after reset.

Even 3rd party magnetic chargers have a definite orientation and can't be plugged in opposite way, unless it's a total crap cable made in-house without even copying the standard specs from docks.

i have a usb magnetic too and unfortunately it's possible to happen ,my seller warned me about using it wrong he said it will destroy either the phone or the cable so i think you shoud contact your local xperia care

I appriciate you trying to help, but unfortunately that doesn't address my issue. And the cable can be connected wrongly! It's a simple upside-down problem, a lot other peoples encountered same issue..

ive put accidentally magnetic charger now my phone keeps showing connect disconnect rappidly xperia z2 what to do

Iam using 3Rd party usb magnetic charger adapter which can b attached at the normal Sony charger cable. And yes it wil not fit upside down way but the contact terminals gets connected in wrong way ..

 I did 1 time connected upside down wrongly but the charging didn't turned on and there was no response and it's charging when connected in the right way.  

Did u check offline charging?? Turn off the phone and connect to original charger and try charging it.. Try waiting for 30min and If working then turn on d phone nd check it's charging normally. 

I think u need to reset if problem persists
