I am using an Xperia Z5 and my charger just won't connect. It just won't detect the charger. My battery drains very fast as well. What do I do?

How can it drain if you cannot charge it?
Do you use different charger?
No as in, once it's charged and it takes me a lot of effort for it to get charged. No, I am using the charger which was a part of the box with the handset.
