Camera sound cannot be turned off after Marshmallow update

After Update, I can't turn off camera shutter sound. I cannot find it in camera settings as well as in 'Sound and notifications.'

Also, when I open camera through Whatsapp, in vibrate mode, it still makes the shutter sound. There is no way to turn off this sound. I didn't happen in the earlier version.

You might experience that it's not possible to turn off the camera shutter sound in Android 6.0. In some markets privacy laws make it illegal to turn off the camera shutter sound and from Android 6.0 it is possible for operators to disable this feature. This is according to the Android specification. Depending on market and operator the menu option to turn off the shutter sound might become available if you remove your SIM card.
