Battery drain on Xperia Z3 dual since Marshmallow install

I know there have been a few posts about this already, but just to add weight to them. The battery on my dual sim Xperia Z3 is draining around about 25% faster than it did before I upgraded to Marshmallow. I would usually get a day and a bit usage out of the phone, but am now getting less than a day. I have screenshots of the battery graph and the report from gsam battery monitor which shows that the screen seems to be responsible. I'll try to post these screenshots somewhere.

Xperia z3 dual battery easily drain after marshmallow update. I check the battery, it showed that screen got 17%. I place the brightness to minimum. Even though it place at maximum it's not reasonable enough to drained my battery. I'm not using data. Strange happening on my cp. Pls what should I do?

My Z3 has suffered from the battery drain issue since upgrading to Marshmallow in June.  The phone used last at least 24 hours between charges and never died after 12.  I cleared the cache and did a factory reset but that didn't make much difference.  I eventually did a Software Repair using the Xperia Companion desktop software.  It can be downloaded here http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz3/ (scroll down to the bottom).  Now the phone lasts well into the night and even with moderate use is only down to 40% after 18 hours use.

I have the same problem with the Xperia Z3 + Dual E6533 (6.0.1).

Typing a message on whatsapp for example, the battery falls 3% in 1 minute, downloaded GSAM application, and tested 100% to 10%, which has consumed is 10% apps, 60% screen, how can I fix this?

Already use with brightness minimum, I have tried resetting the PC Companion but solves nothing.

Yes 5.0 or 5.0.2 is better and size use..... 👍

Now I know, why there is no Marshmallow available for Czech yet. But what I really don't understand is fact, that in August is not fixed yet serious problem known from May. Amazing customers support. It seems rumors about Sony Mobil problems are true.

I upgraded yesterday my Z3 D6603 to 6.0.1 but at the moment I am not happy because the battery is lasting more than less comparing with the previous software release. Moreover the desktop icons text change continuously its font size. These functions were perfect but now are problematical, especially for battery duration.

This BIG problem is not only on DUAL, it exists also on Z3 and Z5.

Heavy battery drain AND high CPU Heat.

and still no smartwatch screen unlock since Kitkat...
