As of today an app started asking for permission to access the Camera, Contacts, Phone and Storage.

So today this app started asking for permissions on my phone. It never appeared on my phone before. Right now Im not giving it any permissions. It is a system app though. I just want to ask is this some sort of malware or is it part of the system? Its asking for permissions to: Camera, Contacts, Phone, Storage. Thanks in advance !

If it's the same while in safe mode then you can rest assured that this is a system app and not any kind of malware.

Hi @ZlordHUN,

It sounds like you have recently updated your phone to Android Marshmallow, when first starting an app after the update you will have to grant the app access to the camera for example. These permissions were previously activated directly when installing and starting an app but in the latest version of Andriod you can choose the activated permissions.

You can check you current version of Android under Settings > About phone.

Yes I have recently updated to marshmallow. I just want to know if the app called : Content Sharing Available is part of the system or is it some sort of virus?

Does the app still ask for permissions if you reboot your phone to safe mode?

Well it asks for permission when I tap on a contact before calling. I just tried safe mode and its the same.
