XZ - Android 8 - Touch Screen Problem - Dragging Apps

I have tried the Touch and Display test and both are ok.

My problem is if I have an app on the screen in the top half it can be moved around but it won't pass the middle going down.

I have th same problem dragging apps up, they won't pass the middle.

It seems like a split screen problem but I don't have split screen on.

Any ideas to the problem ?

Can be a 3rd party app interfering. Try restarting in safe mode, this will disable all installed 3rd party apps. If the problem is resolved then one of your installed apps is causing this issue and you have to figure out which one. Start by uninstalling those apps you installed recently.

Hi @PaulDennis, sorry to hear about this.

There is another touch test that can be found in the service menu of your device, have you tried this test as well? If you haven't done that I would recommending doing that. You can find the test if you open up the Phone application and type in *#*#7378423#*#*  > Service tests > Touch > Free Drawing test.

Are you able to draw in the middle part of your screen in this test?

Done the test and all across the screen, horizontally in the middle I can't draw anything. The gap is as wide as an app.

In this case, your device will need to be examined by a trained technician at an authorized service centre, so please get in touch with your Local support team and they will assist you further with arranging a repair and answer any questions that you have may have regarding warranty, service routines and so forth.
