Xperia XZ3 screen rounded edges?

Does the Xperia XZ3's screen has rounded edges or is it an optical illusion due to the 3D glass?

Unfortunately it has curved screen as Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Unfortunately Sony lost its uniqueness copying, worse, Samsung to try sell more.

Unfortunately Sony abandoned LCD display (durable, solid and with natural colors) for OLED ones (degenerative in time, satured and burning in).

It's quite confusing because in some media pictures it does look like it has curved/rounded corners and some others don't

If it does, Sony Mobile careful, because Apple invented the rectangular shape with rounded corners, lol ask Samsung Grinning_Face_with_smiling_Eyes

Back to the topic, I'll see if I can find more info on this.

All reviewers that handed on with Xperia XZ3 said the panel is an OLED curved one with rounded corners.

Following, a preview where is well described and showed.

Very disappointing, a bad copy of Samsung S9.

I like these rounded corners, they look good and compliment the phone design.

I mean, there's only so much you can do with a slab of screen and body.

See it from Sony's point of view, for a second.

Every single device released in the last 5 years, has been panned for "a tired design that doesn't sit well in the hand"

The moment, and I mean the moment, they change it to be more ergonomic, everyone pipes up how it copies this or it copies that.

Yet no one cares when it's the other way round...

I am a real Sony fan where real mean that I have no fear to critic it.

I understand what you want to say but, objectively, a 6' TALL device is not very ergonomic because it is "unbalanced" when holded into hand, it tends to fall from the top, especially to who has little hands. I don't say fake, I tried with my parents Galaxy S9+ and A6+. If you are objective, 16:9 aspect ratio devices are more balanced.

Users, as you know for sure, are very happy of XA series and they (the majority) asked to retain the UNIQUE and distinguish Sony's design only with smaller bezels (top & bottom) and smudged corners. Not curved edges as Galaxies with useless Side Sense function.

I can understand the point of view of Sony, they must try to sell more, but copy is not the way, especially from a brand that has very high market. They had the BEST LCDs, perfect to take great shots thanks to their natural colors without saturation and degradation (and well calibrated from XZP), and now switches to OLEDs with all they cons over pros.

Sorry, but I'm very displeased and disappointed.

According to the media, and citing Sony, they said that this OLDEs panels use Bravia Master series technology to prevent the degration and saturation. Actually, Xperia XZ3 have the best screen on a smartphone according to tests conduct by Consumers Analytcs.

Obviously Sony can't affirm the real nature of OLED panels, it must sell them.

Really someone can trust a blind test without a reference to evaluate?

Please, stop fakes. OLEDs have great cons; have absolute blacks or unnatural high contrast (more that human eye can see) are not real pros.

However, everyone spend its money as prefers but stop fakes to defend what can't be defended.
