Xperia XZ1 GPS and Bluetooth issue

I am having issues with two apps that make use of the GPS and Bluetooth.

1) WAZE v4.34.1.0  - I occasionally cannot get position from the GPS to navigate in Waze. At the time I run "GPS Test Plus" app v 1.5.5 shows that a 3D fix has been attained

2) Polar Beat v2.4.5 - Almost always the app does not pair with my Polar H7 heart rate sensor (s/n C5420B0947973) - to get it to work I need to reboot the phone and then it finds the device immediately.  Polar.com gave me the following advice which no difference at all (https://support.polar.com/za/support/how_to_pair_a_heart_rate_sensor_with_polar_beat_app_android?pro...).  I addition to this problem, if I am logging a training exercise on Polar Beat and stop to use the phone (specifically take a photo with the camera) the Polar Beat does not receive and GPS (speed, distance and track) data from that point onwards only the heart rate data are recieved.

Given the attention to Bluetooth issues on this forum I suspect there really is a deep issue either in the Sony XZ1 hardware or AndroidOS - I least suspect the apps at this point. I have also tried setting Bluetooth AVRCP v1.4 and/or v1.5 from v1.6 and that appears to make no difference.

I have performed a software reset using "Xperia Companion" wiping the internal storage in the process.

Build number is 47.1.A.12.75 (Kernel 4.4.78 @ Wed 24 Jan 14:00:09 2018)

Alas, reported problem persists. Hardware? Android?

Replace phone?

Any ideas?

I have the same GPS issue, I have to restart my phone (XZ1) every 3 days to get GPS signal. It is a bit annoying.

Did you find any solution for this?

Hi i have the same problem, I have xz1 for the last 2 weeks and I'm very disappointed , had before z1 and z3 and I was really happy with them but now so far only discovering problems 

1. Bluetooth disconnecting my headset without reason even during phone call 

2. WiFi has very week reception comparing to my previous z3,  automatic reconnection between 2.4 and 5GHz doesn't work have to do it manually 

3 smart lock function doesn't work , maybe only sometimes I set up my work GPS coordinates that should keep my phon unlocked but it doesn't work every time have to manually unlock it 

4. Mobile reception is poor comparing with my friend phone Xperia xz in the same network hi has 3 bars and me just one to answer phone I have to go outside building I can hear people but they cannot hear me when I'm speaking inside building .

Hello! I have the same problems. Wifi and mobile reception are very week reception comparing to my previous Xiaomi Redmi 3 (!!!). GPS reception is also very week, sometimes it loses signal while i'm driving. Does Sony know about such problems? Will they solve them?

Hi i was contacting sony support several times but they were only advising me to reset phone to factory settings but it didn't fix anything so my problems are still presents just don't have time at the moment to contact support . Sorry won't help you.
