With my Xperia XZ1, I am oberserving a phenomen. During voice calls my microphone stops working and the listener can not hear me anymore while I still can hear him/her. This happens after some seconds or minutes and applies to either incoming or outgoing calls. When I switch to speaker mode, use earphone or bluetooth device, everything works perfectly.
I changed the OK-Google detection settings, the noise reduction settings and changed also the network settings. No effect.
Sony support tells me to do a software repair via companion which I will do when have some spare time. But I've already read, that this will not help.
Is this software or hardware issue, any hint? Has anyone a solution or workaround as this issue seems to occur with various sony models and goes on since some time already?
Gents,
I have same issue with calls. When I speak with others they suddenly lose what I say, but I can hear them perfectly. But it is not happening on headset.
Many thanks in advance for your support
I have exactly the same problem. I wonder what happened. I can't use my phone at all.
No solution from Sony to that issue. This have it from time to time. As many users seem to have it, I hope that a one of th enxt software updates might bring some relief.
Do you use a smart watch connected to the phone via Bluetooth. This might be one of the root causes.
I have had this problem also. I even returned the phone for a new one. The problem persists. I may have to give up on this phone, which is a shame, because I love everything else about it. But if I can't make phone calls, then it's worthless.
I am having the same issue. Tried everything in a the forums. Nothing works. Please Sony needs to respond with a fix.
Same Issue here, its very annoying and I would not like to send a guarantee of an almost new phone.
Somenthing new?

I am having the same problem and it's a big shame SONY are not responding with a solution to that. I had the same problem with my Z3 then opted for this one but this one again? How can this issue be resolved?
it's probably not a software error, just got my phone back from the warranty repair.
they wrote "technical repairs in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions"
it seems to be working now
Hey, would be interested if it still works in after some days have passed. Did they tell you what exactly they have repaired?
I stilkl thinks it deals with the bluetooth function as the during the calls the phone seems to switch randomly between the speaker and the connected bluetooth device.
I have been experiencing this issue for months. Switching to speaker does not solve it for me. I don't frequently use a headset, so no comment there. When my recorded audio goes out, there is nothing that can bring it back. Even worse, when I try to hang up and call back the phone cannot end the call. I have to wait for the other person to figure it out and I can hear them the whole time! WiFi seems to be a trigger for mine, if its off or not connected it happens less frequently. I've done resets, had the main board replaced via warranty repair (intended to fix this very issue), nothing had helped. Hopefully somebody, or Sony, can figure this out.
