Purchased my XZ1 as an Amazon Warehouse deal. Phone has worked like a charm for about three weeks, then suddenly today I can't receive or place calls. All calls fail to connect going out or coming in. Yet, I can still send and receive texts and get all kinds of mobile data through my carrier, T-Mobile. I can't even make Duo calls. When I try audio calls, there's no outgoing or received audio. When I try video calls, I get video but no audio. "Your mic is broken!" you might be saying to yourself. Ah, but I can still dictate speech-to-text, so that's not it. I've tried clearing the cache and data of my factory default phone app. I've tried restarting multiple times. Nothing. I spoke with Sony support, and the person I spoke to, "Laura C.", told me to do a "software repair" using the Xperia Companion desktop app. Except when the instructions came, it's clear all a "software repair" is is a factory reset. Nope. Not dealing with that headache. I'd just as soon find a new phone and quit Sony as deal with periodic factory resets like this. Looking for any other solution.
