Some apps unable to properly access SD card after update

Since last system update, some apps (audioteka.cz; mapy.cz) have problem accessing the SD card, reporting the storage failure. I can however access the card through file manager normally. Any advice?

Sony has to make the sd-card available.

I own MY phone and have the legal right to use/set my device according to the options that Android (Oreo 8, etc.) provides.

Manufacturers shields are one of the most annoying things I run into.

As an Android app developer it used to be so easy to add this 1 simple code line: "#CanInstallToExternalStorage: True", so users can decide were to store my/any app.

On top of it apps on the device that I need to check/edit data don't function anymore.
