No notification dot for some apps

The notification dot is not appearing in certain apps like gmail instagram messenger. I have it appearing in whatsapp and the default android messenger. Is this app issue or sony home launcher still does not support notif dots for these apps? I am running android 8.0 in xz2 premium.

Even after this issues like these still persists, it's usually the software issue.
