Days after I received the Xperia XZ Premium (G8141), the Oreo update was released for it. Ever since then, the moment that any application install/update/uninstall is complete, as soon as it's finished, <b>com.android.phone</b> will stop until relaunched, meaning no service at all, no signal, no network communication..
"Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped."
In attempt to resolve this issue, I have removed the SIM card and gone into safe mode to clear all data (including cache) for the following applications:
Update service,
Package installer,
PacProcessor,
Package Access Helper,
fota update service,
ConfigUpdater,
Google Services Framework,
Phone,
Phone Services,
Phone and Messaging Storage,
Call Management,
Smart call handling,
Call Log Backup/Restore,
Calling name presentation provider,
SIM Toolkit,
SIM Detection,
SIM lock,
com.android.carrierconfig,
com.qualcomm.qti.telephonyservice,
com.qualcomm.qti.simsettings,
com.sonymobile.rcs.startup,
com.sonymobile.fota.service,
com.sonymobile.anondata,
com.quicinc.cne.CNEService.CNEServiceApp,
Please provide a solution for this issue, as I am highly reliant on my Xperia for a phone.
Anybody else having this issue or any luck eliminating it?
