Apps being closed in background

Hi,

My XZ1 compact closes apps after a few hours of inactivity. It's getting annoying now as I have one for my smart heating which uses geofencing so I need it always running in the background. My previous z3 didn't do this but this one has done it since day 1.

I've turned off smart cleaner but it still does it - does anyone else have this problem or know how to stop this behaviour?

I don't have masses of app open either it's manly FB, twitter, email (K9).

Hi @LH3;

Have you tried putting all the apps you want "always on" in the energy saving exceptions? You can do it in Settings >Battery >top right 3 dots menu >energy saving exceptions>apps>Select the apps you want always on.
