Answering machine in Xperia XZ premium

I could not find answering machine in any of the settings ?
Has Sony stopped this feature ?

PS: I think it would have been a very strong USP

yeah, it looks like you're only able to set your carrier as the voicemail provider, can't see anything else in the phone's settings.

I believe it's been gone since beginning of X series but I'll see what I can find out about it.

Can confirm that it has been removed. I used to have it on my X Performance, but now I must go via my carrier to set it up. Slightly_frowning_Face shame..

Sony, you are making us not to use your phone anymore. All the elements that make xperia special, you discontinue. What is the matter with you. Answering machine was such a nice app. Why in God's name u discontinued it?

Hallo to all,

I have other problem with the answering machine. If i dont listen to the voice message by the time it arrives, after that, i cannot find it. To appear, i have to restart my phone...

I thought my old X1 was on its way out since it would not charge so I bought an XZ about 20 months ago. However I found the reason for not charging was some small pieces of plastic in the charging port so the XZ was not actually used until 2-3 weeks ago as I have some issues with uconnect blue tooth with the X1.

The XZ had the answering machine before it was updated with latest downloads, exactly the same as the X1. I remember setting the time to pick up at 30 sec and my message.

I picked something wrong the other day when the XZ rang for ever and no answer phone connected.

Has Sony disconnected it with new downloads or has Telstra my carrier?

Looks like I will have to go back to the X1 as I really like this feature.

Some time ago Telstra installed their voicemail without my knowledge and stopped the X1 answering machine from working. I had the voicemail disconnected by Telstra and it worked again.

I've just moved over from the Z1C and of course answering machine isn't on the XZP. It frustrates the **bleep** out of me when such an awesome application like the answering machine has been removed. I thought the whole thing about updating from one android to the next is they add to it and make it better, not remove great applications Face_with_Steam_from_Nose

I think I'd be better of putting an older version of android on this phone. I can't say the XZP excites me if the basics are gone.
