Android Oreo Adaptive brightness bug

I've updated the new firmware a couple of days ago and noticed something wrong with the adaptive brightness.

It used to be slowly adjust the brightness but after this latest update, it's adjusting the brightness so fast and make me less comfortable to use it.

Sometimes it makes me feel sick. 😢

Does anyone have this problem too?

I have this bug on dual sim model (8142).

It's very annoying, does anyone know when Sony is fixing this bug

Yeah I've have seen the same issue as well. But I does seem to happen all the time. Also if ur in a bight setting and u place a shadow over the sensor on the upper right hand side of the phone it will adjust the brightness drastically.

My brightness would go to the lowest setting with adaptive brightness on.

Had to turn it off a few times.

And now it's not even working

I too have this bug, it's especially noticeable in low light, the screen cannot seem to settle on a brightness level. For the time being I am using Lux from the play store until a fix arrives.
