Zylo contacts backup problem

Hi.  I have backed up 725 contacts using P C Companion.  When I try to restore these contacts, to a new Zylo phone, I get an error message.

During the restore process I can see reading of the contacts but when it gets to writing, I get an error.

I had no problem restoring media, notes and bookmarks.

Any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear but this could be a case of corrupt contacts in the backup.

Don't worry yet. There is a quite easy way that might solve this.

Go to your backupfile (the .dbk file) on your PC. Rename the file to .zip instead and open it with WinZip (or any other zip program)

Extract the contacts.vcf file to your desktop. Then try to import the .vcf file into MS Outlook (Or any other supported PIM program)

Then try to synchronize your contacts with the phone using PC Companion.
