Hey guys,
I have a huge problem with my Z5C I received a few days ago. When I try to connect it to my car stereo (Parrot MKI9200) it kind of connects (is paired, but doesn't show up as a paired device). I also can make calls and receive them, but I get no audio whatsoever from any player (tried the native one, Spotify and Youtube).
It also shows, on the phone, that it is connected but has no media (even though I checked the box in it's bluetooth settings). I know for sure that it can play media because I used it for 4 years before on many devices (iPad, iPhones, Z3C, Samsung Galxy S3 and many many more).
So I came to the conclusion that it is a problem with my Z5C and I am kind of desperate. I hope anybody has a software fix for my problem.
Thank you very much in advance,
PenOne
The thing is, that you can at least hear music. We have he problem that there is no way for us to get the music to play on the car stereo. And I don't think its the car stereo. It has to be the Z5C messing up the system. (I can telephone just fine.....)
Previously, with my iphone all i had to do was plug into my Pioneer car audio USB port to play music, charge the phone and display track infomation. Plugging in my Xperia Z5c showed No Support on the display, so suspecting compatability issues I brought a new Sony head unit (MEXN60001BD), but still, USB connectivity was unsupported. So i brought a seperate USB charger for the car cigar lighter to charge the phone and started using Bluetooth.
However, and this is where i need help, I seem to have to go thru the following procedure every time to connect;-
1. scroll thru head unit display to Pairing and press
2. ensure phone has a display and bring it close to the head unit and use NFC
3. open App Remote on phone and press Music then play
4. Press SRC on head unit
5. Scroll to BT Audio and press
then i finally have music:-)
What am i doing wrong? Are there any short cuts? Are the phone or head unit compatible or not functioning properly? Do i go back to Apple?
HAve it working again, I missed the step to restart the phone, now its always showing up as Audio connected on my MKi9200.
So create a new event in Smart Connect when you connect to the MKi9200(or whatever audio device your want to stream to).
+ Start Action,
Sound Bluetooth Audio connect, * Mki9200
+ Start Action, Media , || Pause *
+ End Action,
Sound Bluetooth Audio connect, * Mki9200
+ End Action, Media , || Pause *
Restart the phone and also the Bluetooth device and see
see my post on issues with BT audio
I'm sorry to hear this.
Have you also tried to update the firmware in the bluetooth unit? It looks like there has been a few updates to them, some mentions several improvements for music streaming.
See these links:
I was on 2.11 and upgraded to 2.20 and its still a bit flaky as sometimes it gets connected to bluetooth streaming mode and sometimes it doesnt
Would it be possible for you to send me logs from your phone when this happens? I will forward these internally to see if we can find what's causing this.
To take logs:
1. Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number
2. Go back and select Developer options. Turn on "Enable Bluetooth HCI snoop logging" and turn on "USB debugging"
3. Turn Bluetooth OFF, turn Bluetooth ON (this is needed to enable the logging)
The next time this happens:
4. Settings > Developer options, select "Take bug report". When the report is ready you'll get a notification. Tap this and upload it to Google Drive.
5. With the File Commander app (or other File Manager) navigate to the file btsnoop_hci.log under internal storage and share this file to Google Drive.
6. Turn off the settings that was turned on in step 2. Turn Bluetooth OFF, turn Bluetooth ON
Please share the files on Google Drive and send me a link in a private message here on the forum.
