Xperia Z - Internet not working on At&t network USA

I got a Sony Xperia Z from India to use in America with my At&t service.

I can receive calls and simple text message. I am not able to receive any pictures.

I can only use internet with wifi.

I installed the internest setting for att and it still is not working.

Please help...

First make sure that data is enabled in the notification bar settings.

AT&T seems to have different settings depending on what plan you use. I recommend that you contact AT&T to check what APN-settings you need and that you then enter them manually under Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names.

If you have the LTE-version of Xperia Z and your plan doesn't support LTE you may also need to select WCDMA/GSM under Settings -> More -> Mobile networks -> Network mode.

Hi Rick,

I have tried all those things and nothing worked?

Any other suggestions?

Does the C6602 model work in the us?

The c6602 doesnt support lte but i think it should work in the us

You have to contact at&t customer support only they can help you on this

This is why before buying a phone from another country you should first consult with your network provider

And in the us xperia z hasnt yet arrived on contract the carriers, but i read somewhere a new model c6606 is coming on t-mobile. People who have purchased the c6603 models from amazon are having problems with at&t,  just read the reviews on amazon

Yes, the C6602 model works in the US. I'm using it with T-Mobile.

I also posted this in response to someone else earlier...when I put my SIM card in (again, I'm with T-Mobile), data wasn't working. I went to settings > Xperia > Internet settings and then clicked accept. Make sure you're connected to Wifi to do this. Internet and MMS started working after the download.

I know this is a couple weeks later but hope it helps. Slightly_smiling_Face

this settings worked for a while, some minutes, then the phone stopped working with AT&T data... that's very strange!
