Well, for the last few weeks I had the back panel of Xperia panel becoming bouncy and loose, at the top camera end. I never took it as too serious a problem. Today I went on my regular jog and it was raining, when I got back home, the phone was hot and it wouldn't switch on.I should make a point that all the flaps were shut tight and I pried them open when I got back home only.
When I tried connecting the charger, it vibrated a couple of times and the red LED blinked. I am assuming it was trying to turn on but wouldn't. The water indicator next to the headphone jack is pink. However the indicators for the charger and the SD card slot are still white.
I sent my phone in to the service centre today and I have been told that I have to wait for sony's approval on whether the damage is covered or not.
Has anyone experience this issue with the back panel leading to water damage and if so, what solutions were they given?
