XPERIA V PORTABLE MEDIA PLAYER NO NEED TO SAFETY REMOVE?

Hi! I'm really wondering, does all of new phones comes with this feature? I mean when i connect my xperia v to PC, i can now acces my sd card which is inserted on my phone, is that storage no need to be safely remove? is it ok to unplug it directly? because as far as i'm concern, we need first to click safely removed storage just like in flash drive and other memory stick.

The reason you dont get nor need the option is because it connects in MTP mode as opposed to the older MSC mode.
