Xperia U problem

Hi so its been  an year since i bought a Xperia u..its running on ICS and i am facing some problems..i hope smbody can help..

1. Half of the time the phone does not read the sim card and says that no sim card inserted

( what am i gonna  do with a phone which cannot make calls!!? )

2. Almost everyday while using the phone the screen of the phone blacks out on its own( screen does not turn off) just a blank black screen.

i tried pressing the home button and the back button but nothing happened except for the vibrations.

I locked it and tried to unlock it so when i slide my finger across the screen..the phone gets unlocked but again i get the same black blank screen!

3. I have no apps installed on it except the ones which were pre installed..also i uninstalled the ones which could be like cricbuzz,timespoynt etc ( these came with the phone)

P.S I did reinstall the software(ICS) using PC Companion..no difference..and its been a year so the warranty is gone...I started to face such problems the day the warranty ran out i.e. 17th june 2013

also smhow the illumination bar has got a little moisture in it....i have no idea how!

and its chrome ring(around the camera) fell off on its own!!!

For the problems you encountered,it is recommended that an authorized service has a look at your phone.

After you update your phone, Try factory reset *make sure you backup your data*

I have been having contunuing problems with Sony about my xperia U. Some of your problems are similar to mine and they are all related to poor performance from upgrading to ICS. If the phone does go back to tech support all they will do is downd grade it to gingerbread as that is what they conside the phone works best on. I have argues the case with them that it is not acceptable to send out upgrades which are detremental to the performance of the phone but in there words "you don't have to upgrade" I'm afraid you won't get anywhere with Sony

Yes you are correct..i did go to the Sony Center...They said that they will downgrade it to 2.3.7 gingerbread  I asked them that if it doesn't work with ICS why did sony send out the upgrade to which they had no answer! Never buying a sony device again!!!
