Xperia U GPS Precision

I have buyed a sony xperia u but the GPS fix is too long and when it fixed my position the precision is too bad like altitude negative! I tried to change the phone and restore but the problem remain, any suggestion?

It's sound like software problem, it's possible?

I used GpsFix and GPS Status apps from google play.

I rooted my French ICS but after reboot I got only grey screen. I saw there some parts of main screen (totally dimmed, everything was grey/black) and it doesn't respond to tapping. I could only use Power buton. So after that I used SUS and installed ICS officialy. So rooting wasn't my friend   I used standard method by: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460 . But in this SUS-ICS is GPS connecting fast - appr. 1 minute

Hey, I have the same problem.  My GPS is not working at all... even after 10 minutes.  This is AFTER the upgrade to ICS, using SUS.

Any help?  I got a Sony only because of their supposed GPS/GLONASS integration for high precision... and this is very dissapointing.

use fasterGPS app in google play

it changes the NTP server, what about if im in somewhere without connection, GPS should work with cashed maps, signal drops, long long time until location fix

it is annoying

Its good but not much use .I was standing in the clear sky 13 sat found but still waiting for fix for more than 15 mins

Actually, i don't know how about the GPS in GB, but after update to ICS, it take me so long to get the GPS working, after trying a lot of times, i just let the GPS run for a whole night, and in the morning, i find that it finally have 4 satelite in use, and after that everytime i start gpstest app, it just take a few minutes to locate  my location, not good, but it's ok

SO, i think, it's very hard for the GPS to first locat you location, it's better to just let GPS on for a long time, like hours, after that, it's will be OK

i am having same problem.

gps status findes 13 satellites but takes 2 mins to lock 4or5 which dont give accurate status.:smileycry:

i guess all sony phones have same problem..:smileyconfused:
